AEROSMITH: 20th Anniversary Of 'Get A Grip' Celebrated On 'In The Studio'
April 24, 2013North American syndicated rock radio show "In The Studio: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands" (web site) celebrates the 20th anniversary of the AEROSMITH multi-million-selling album "Get A Grip".
In six short years, AEROSMITH had not only regained their place atop the rock heap, they reached a new summit with the worldwide twenty million-seller "Get a Grip", which produced two No. 1 rock tracks with "Livin' On The Edge" and "Cryin'" and two Top 10 pop singles, "Crazy" and "Amazing". The album's tour was a victory lap, delivering fans hits from three multi-million-selling albums in a row, including "Permanent Vacation" and "Pump".
AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler told "In The Studio" program host Redbeard that the band's second coming helped them get a grip.
"Let's face it, we're living a dream," he said. "We're living the American dream. We're really
fortunate enough to play it out. Living the dream, not thinking about reality, so you don't
get caught up in the trappings."
